Before you start
A store on a Stencil theme (Script Manager isn't available on legacy Blueprint themes). Store owner access, or a user allowed to use Script Manager.

Create your account and add your domain
Sign up, add your site's domain and open the Installation tab. Your script tag is there with your domain ID filled in.

Open Script Manager
In your BigCommerce control panel go to Storefront, then Script Manager, and click Create a Script.

Fill in the script
Name it Accessora. Set Placement to Footer, Location to All pages, Script category to Essential and Script type to Script. Paste the tag into the script box and click Save.

Check your storefront
Open your storefront in a new tab. The widget button sits in the bottom corner of every storefront page, cart included.

Do I have to edit my theme?
No. Script Manager adds the tag without touching your Stencil theme, so theme updates don't remove it. A custom theme only needs the {{footer.scripts}} tag that standard themes already include.
Script or URL type?
Script. BigCommerce adds its security nonce to Script-type scripts for you. A URL-type script needs an SRI hash, which would stop matching every time the widget updates.
Does it load on checkout?
With Location set to All pages, yes, on stores that use Optimized One-Page Checkout. Choose Storefront pages if you want to keep it off checkout.
Will it slow down my site?
The tag loads async, so your page renders without waiting for it. The widget button is fixed in a corner, so it doesn't shift your layout when it appears.
How do I remove it?
Delete the script in Script Manager. The widget is gone on the next page load.
