Before you start

A WordPress site where you can install plugins or edit theme files. On WordPress.com that means a plan that allows plugins.

  1. 1

Create your account and add your domain

Sign up, add your site's domain and open the Installation tab. Your script tag is there with your domain ID filled in.

  2. 2

Paste the tag in your site header

The easiest route is a header and footer plugin such as WPCode. In WPCode, go to Code Snippets > Header & Footer, paste the tag into the Header box and save. On a classic theme you can instead add it to your child theme's header.php, before the closing head tag.

    <!-- Accessora widget -->
    <script async src="https://cdn.accessora.io/embeds/js/latest/autoload.js?domainId=YOUR_DOMAIN_ID"></script>
  3. 3

    Check your site

If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache, then open your site in a new tab. The widget button is in the bottom corner. Back in the dashboard, click Verify installation on the Installation tab.

What you get

The same toolkit on every platform.

The widget, the dashboard and audits work the same however your site was built. What you get depends on your plan, not your platform.

Widget

A widget your visitors control.

Font Size, High Contrast, Dyslexic Font, Reading Mask, Text to Speech and 13 more. 18 adjustments in one panel.

Languages

44 languages.

Pick the widget's language, or let it follow each visitor's browser. Visitors can switch it in the panel.

Profiles

Four one-tap profiles.

Low Vision, Cognitive, ADHD and Motor Impairment each turn on a set of adjustments at once.

Audits

Audits with WCAG criteria.

Scan pages on a schedule or on demand. Each issue shows its WCAG criterion and the elements affected.

AI alt text

Alt text where it's missing.

On Growth and Enterprise, AI writes English alt text for images that have none. You can edit any of it.

Automated fixes

Common issues, patched.

On Enterprise, the widget patches common markup issues in the browser, like buttons and form fields with no label.

FAQ

Questions about WordPress.

Something else? Ask support.

Is there an Accessora WordPress plugin?

No. The widget is one script tag, so there's no plugin of ours to keep updated. Any plugin that adds code to your header can add it, or your theme can.

Does it work with Elementor, Divi and other page builders?

Yes. The widget loads on top of the finished page and adjusts what is already there, so it does not matter how the page was built. Block themes work the same way.

Will it slow down my site?

The tag loads async, so your page renders without waiting for it. The widget button is fixed in a corner, so it doesn't shift your layout when it appears.

Will a caching or optimization plugin break it?

Usually not. If your optimizer delays JavaScript until the visitor interacts, or strips query strings from script URLs, exclude autoload.js from those rules. Clear the cache after you add the tag.

How do I remove it?

Delete the script tag from wherever you pasted it and clear your cache. The widget is gone on the next page load, and there are no database changes to undo.
